How It Works
The API checks an email domain against a continuously maintained database of over 7,000 known temporary and disposable email providers, returning a structured JSON response in real time. Expired domains are systematically removed and re-evaluated to keep the dataset accurate, not just large.
The list is not an aggregation of other lists. It is built from our own network through analysis, heuristics, and manual verification - which is why it is relied on by e-commerce platforms, AI startups, and data companies.
We also publish ongoing research into temporary email provider market share, tracking which disposable email services are gaining or losing ground over time based on our proprietary monitoring infrastructure.
Privacy by Design
No full email address is ever required or stored. Only the domain is checked. This makes Temp Mail Detector a practical choice for products where user data handling is a legal or ethical consideration, including education platforms, AI services, and any product operating under GDPR.

The service runs on multiple servers distributed across the European Union, routing requests to the nearest available server for fast response times. Uptime is publicly available and our infrastructure is fault tolerant by design with automated off-site backups.
